About this deal

pre-drilled holes in the mortar course. The gun is re-usable and easily cleanable. Dryzone High Viscosity Adhesive Applicator Gun Drygrip Adhesive is a salt and damp resistant glue for the purpose of fixing plasterboard directly to masonry surfaces. It is used after the application of Dryshield Cream to a wall that has been treated for rising damp, using Dryzone Damp-Proofing Cream. Drygrip is also an effective general use adhesive. Why Drygrip is Required Available in 600 ml foil sausages, for use with the Dryzone High Viscosity Applicator Gun – Coverage rate of 1 to 2 sausages per 2.8 m 2 plasterboard Dryzone Plasterboard Positioning Plugs:

Excellent Bonding: Drygrip Adhesive is specifically formulated to adhere plasterboard directly to masonry surfaces. When used in conjunction with Dryshield Cream, it delivers exceptional bonding strength. The biards are solid to the wall but as my walls are uneven and the adhesive was so extensive I couldn't use as much as I'd have liked on each board. It did cost several hundreds of pounds to do the whole downstairs like this yes. Drygrip Adhesive allows plasterboard to be attached to a wall, without the use of dry lining battens. It leaves an air gap between the plasterboard and the wall, protecting décor from damp issues whilst the wall dries out. The Drygrip itself is moisture resistant and, in conjunction with the Dryshield Cream, will resist crystallising salts. How Drygrip is Applied At the beginning of 2014, Dryrod Damp-Proofing Rodswere launched as the next step in rising damp treatments. They are patented fibre rods that are simply inserted into the wall along a horizontal mortar course. Once inserted, the rods will diffuse high-performance water-repellent ingredients into the wall, curing to form a barrier to damp.Drygrip Adhesive is an essential part of the Dryzone Express Replastering System, offering a fast, clean, and modern solution to replaster walls after the treatment of rising damp. This system capitalizes on the effectiveness of a salt inhibitor cream and a salt & damp resistant adhesive to securely adhere plasterboard to salt-contaminated walls. An effective salt inhibitor cream, for use on walls contaminated with salts, as a result of rising damp. It resists the formation of salts in, or at, the masonry surface, without the need for a sand:cement render and acts as a primer for Dryzone Salt & Damp Resistant Adhesive.

The guidance given in BS 5250:2011 “Code of practice for control of condensation in buildings” should be followed with particular reference to sections G.3.1.4 “Solid masonry wall – Internal insulation” and G.3.2.4 “Masonry wall with cavity – Internal insulation”: Available in 600ml foil sausages, for use with the Dryzone High Viscosity Applicator Gun – Coverage rate of 1 to 2 sausages per 2.8m 2 plasterboard Dryzone Plasterboard Positioning Plugs: is ideal for cutting Dryrod DPC Rods to size. The cutter has a protective cap for the pointed blade and purpose of drilling holes in mortar courses. Due to its width and length, the drill bit is ideal to use as Calculations show that the overall risk of condensation is reduced when using the Dryzone Express Replastering System compared with traditional sand:cement replastering systems. However, when using this type of product, due consideration must be given to the overall design to minimise risk of condensation and the recommendations contained in BS 5250:2011 should be followed. Where higher levels of relative humidity are anticipated other environmental controls should be considered, such as:

Dryzone System Hole Clearing Tool

Internally applied thermal insulation isolates the heated interior from the masonry, which will therefore be cold, producing a risk of interstitial condensation behind the thermal insulation; to prevent that, an AVCL should be applied on the warm side of the thermal insulation. Available in 3 and 5 litre tubs – Coverage rate of 5 m 2 per litre – Brush or roller applied Drygrip Adhesive: Leave the Drygrip Adhesive to cure for 1½ hours and then apply skrim tape and plaster as per normal plastering procedure.

Dryshield Cream may also act as a primer for Drygrip Adhesive. The adhesive has been developed for ‘dab’ fixing plasterboard directly to masonry surfaces. It forms a strong and long-lasting bond and is resistant to both salts and damp. Drygrip Adhesive is a salt and damp resistant adhesive glue Fixes plasterboard to walls without the need for battens or screws. Easily applied with the Dryzone High Viscosity Applicator gun cures to allow plasterboard to accept new plaster after only 1-2 hours. Apply a single coat of Dryshield Cream to the area that is intended to be replastered, using a brush or roller. The cream must be allowed to sink in to the wall for at least 30 minutes before moving on to step three.Offer the plasterboard up to the wall and tap into place, using Dryzone System Positioning Plugs and plastic Wedges to make sure that the board is touching neither the floor nor the wall. Apply all plasterboards in the same manner, until full desired coverage has been achieved. mm × 5.5 mm plastic positioning plugs. They are used to set the air gap between the board and the wall before the Dryzone Adhesive cures. The sand and cement render, that is conventionally used to combat these salts, usually contains a salt retardant additive such as Renderguard Gold. This additive stops salts migrating from the affected wall and into the new plaster, which is applied on top of the render. The additive also provides additional waterproofing qualities to the render, helping to protect the new plaster from residual moisture in the wall. The Dryzone Express Replastering System holds numerous advantages over the traditional sand and cement render method of replastering after rising damp. The most obvious being the time reduction from the start of the job to the finish. Following the installation of the DPC, it may be necessary to replaster. Without replastering, dampness and groundwater salts can spoil decoration on the interior walls – potentially causing paint to bubble, plaster to crumble and wallpaper to grow mould.
