About this deal

NOTE: Any rags etc soaked in Owatrol Textrol may spontaneously catch fire if improperly discarded. Rags etc must be saturated with water after use or placed in a sealed, water filled metal container, before disposing with household waste. Textrol is not a surface coating, its place is in the wood not on the surface. Textrol protects by penetrating the wood, providing a rich matt finish. If your patio doors have not been finished with any varnish, wood oil, paint etc, then you would need to use Net-Trol clean and brighten the wood reviving the colour.

Textrol HES is a one-coat, penetrating oil finish for softwoods and European hardwoods. It has been developed to penetrate deep in to the wood with a high solids content which protects the timber against damage caused by the weather and UV rays. Remove loose debris with a brush before application. Allow the wood to dry thoroughly (2-3 warm days) before applying Textrol. When applying Textrol coats must be applied in a wet on wet application. This means the oil should not dry between coats. Work in areas you can complete within 10-15 minutes. SLVK certified. The SVLK assurance scheme is a mandatory system that requires all timber from state-owned and private forests in Indonesia to obtain verification of legality – as a guarantee that the timber originates from legal, sustainably-managed sources. Textrol may only be applied to bare wood surfaces or a weathered wood that was previously finished with Textrol. All other oils or sealers must be completely and thoroughly removed with a wood oil remover such as Owatrol’s Aquanett and then the surface must be cleaned and neutralized with Net-Trol before applying Textrol. If necessary sand the surface after cleaning and stripping (80 grit paper). After cleaning, allow the wood to dry for 2-3 days before finishing. Previously coated surfaces

To prepare your surfaces for the application of D1 you need to follow some simple instructions depending on whether your wood is new or you have allowed it to weather first. If your wood is new you should treat it with Aquanett wood oil remover (by simply applying and then brushing and rinsing) to help to remove the mill glaze which would prevent the D1 from penetrating the wood adequately. You should then neutralise the wood with Net-Trol and allow to dry fully before applying Deks Olje D1. If you are using weathered wood we would advise cleaning it with Net-Trol to remove any built-up dirt and restore the natural colour – especially as Deks Olje D1 is a clear finish so you really want to see that natural wood colour.

How frequently maintenance coats are required will depend on the quality of prior preparation, quality of application and weather exposure levels. Instructions for UseImagine your garden area and patio were made of wood and the view was just outstanding and you thoroughly loved to just sit outside and take it all in. Well when winter comes around and then repeats another cycle with winter and summer your area near the garden could take a big hit. You may find your patio is dirty. There is nothing to fret about though because there is still hope. All you have to do to fix the problems is get protective treatments that you apply to the area and weathered wood which will make the end result simply beautiful. Carefully prepare everything and it can be super easy. You need to clean the wood Apply a second coat of Textrol in the same way as the first. Again allow to soak in for 15-30 minutes.
