It came in a jug, as the name suggests, and was filled with powdery candy nuggets that would turn into gum as you chewed them. Squeeze's Glenn Tilbrook discusses tour with Psychedelic Furs, recording plans, more". NJArts.net . Retrieved 11 September 2023.

Despite an official Squeeze break-up in 1999, Difford and Tilbrook continued to make music and gig with the same enthusiasm and abandon that they brought to Squeeze’s first EP, either with their own solo projects or with each other. Chris Difford has released three solo albums to date, and toured the country several times with his unique one man show – while Glenn Tilbrook, meanwhile, has also released three solo albums, with 2009’s ‘Pandemonium Ensues’ heralding the debut of his other band The Fluffers and saw him recording with Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis. He too has toured relentlessly with The Fluffers, and most recently has recorded an album as “The Co-Operative” with blues veterans 9 Below Zero. Hubba Bubba, a brand of bubble gum created by Wm. Wrigley Jr. Company which is a part of Mars, Incorporated, first introduced the US to its brand in 1979.

After eight years apart (save for sporadic collaborations), Glenn Tilbrook and Chris Difford reformed Squeeze in early 2007. [29] The rest of the lineup was completed with former bassist John Bentley and new members Stephen Large on keyboards and Simon Hanson on drums. [30] During a UK tour in late 2010, Large was temporarily replaced by Steve Nieve. [31] The group issued two live albums and Spot the Difference, comprising new recordings of old songs, between 2007 and 2012. [3] Personnel remained stable until July 2015, when Bentley left the band by "mutual decision". [32] He was replaced by Lucy Shaw, who completed recording for Cradle to the Grave. From 2008 forward, Difford and Tilbrook repeatedly stated in interviews that they planned to produce an album of new Squeeze material; they alluded to this in on-camera interviews at V Festival in both 2008 and 2011. In January 2010, it was announced that they would be spending part of the coming summer in Italy together writing songs for a new Squeeze album, and in an interview on BBC Radio Wales on 10 November 2013, Tilbrook stated that Squeeze would be recording between January and March 2014. However these sessions never took place and Tilbrook ended up recording and releasing the solo album Happy Endings.
