About this deal

Klipsch speakers are known for being able to produce a lot of sound for their size, and the R-41M are no exception. The 4 inch spun-copper IMG woofer and 1” Aluminum LTS tweeter (mated to a 90 x 90 square Tractrix® Horn) can deliver a whooping 50W of continuous power handling and 200W of peak power handling. The 90dB sensitivity @ 1 watt means the R-41Ms also don’t require a lot of power to deliver a big sound.

You will notice one thing immediately with the Klipsch R-41M. They are loud, incredibly so for their size. The 4-inch woofer made out of IMG and the 1-inch tweeter made of aluminum use their power to deliver some truly powerful sound.XT15 features Single Gold Plated Binding Posts type posts and R-41M has a Single Gold Plated Binding Posts type posts. None of these speakers feature bi-amping/bi-wiring. These speakers truly perform well at the mid ranges and normal volume. It means you can conveniently use them for a variety of purposes including listening to music as well as watching television. Klipsch R51M Again, Klipsch has used copper spun woofers in the construction of the woofer and these speakers also feature 1-inch LTS aluminum tweeters. Small speakers can be voiced to deliver decent bass, although doing so requires tuning the crossover in a way that makes them less sensitive and thus harder to drive. Designing a mini-monitor that's both efficient and offers good bass seems to break the rules, but Klipsch has pulled it off with the R-41M. A ported design with a rated 90-dB sensitivity and 8-ohm impedance, the R-41M can play plenty loud without requiring much power, and its specified 68-Hz bass extension means you can just about get away without using a subwoofer. The key to the R-41M's sensitivity appears to be its horn-loaded tweeter. Acoustic Panels and Treatments: Your room is as important as your stereo equipment so acoustic treatments goes a long way in improving the overall performance.

I wouldn't buy or recommend this speaker, but to play devil's advocate, that PIR isn't as bad as I expected, and 1K peak should be fairly easy to EQ and wouldn't be the worst thing in the world as it is is fairly high Q. The elevated 2.5k peak, 3.5k dip, and shelfed up treble beyond are definitely the worst issues to my eyes. The peak power rating of the R-41M is 200W. This is great because the Klipsch proprietary LTS horn-loaded tweeter and the image-molded graphite woofer can only use about 50W of continuous power. R-41M can handle a max power of 85 watts RMS from the amp the whereas R-41M has a max power handling value of 50 watts RMS , 35 watts less than the R-51M.

Note that Klipsch also have the powered R-41PM and R-51PM which don’t require a separate amp, but these speakers cost more. R-41M and R-51M The speakers are of a perfect size for mounting on walls or bookshelves, and other surfaces. Standing just under a foot tall, their dimensions are as follows, 11.3 inches tall, 5.75 inches wide, and 7.9 inches deep. Thehorn-loaded tweeter—a hallmark of the Klipsch brand— produces clear, detailed highs. Each speaker'scopper spun 4" woofer delivers solid midrange and bass response. Andbinding post wire terminalsoffer easy, secure wire connections. Make these speakerspart of a two-channel music system that doesn't take up much shelf space. Or use a pair ofR-41Ms as the front channels of a compact surround sound speaker system. Build a complete Reference system

Product highlights:

Over 1000 points around the speaker were measured (from 20 to 20 kHz) which resulted in well under 1% error in identification of the sound field emanating from the speaker up to about 18 kHz. Above that the error increases slightly. Final database of measurements and data is 1.4 Gigabytes in size.

Measurements that you are about to see were performed using the Klippel Near-field Scanner (NFS). This is a robotic measurement system that analyzes the speaker all around and is able (using advanced mathematics and dual scan) to subtract room reflections. It also measures the speaker at close distance ("near-field") which sharply reduces the impact of room noise. Both of these factors enable testing in ordinary rooms yet results that can be more accurate than anechoic chamber. In a nutshell, the measurements show the actual sound coming out of the speaker independent of the room. All measurements are reference to tweeter axis with the grill removed. Reinforced MDF construction reduces cabinet vibration for less audible coloration and improved sonic accuracy. This is a side view. Can't figure out if this is some mixing of driver and its port of the sides singing along. In the world of audio, what you are paying for is what you get. That’s why it can be hard to get affordable speakers for living spaces that don’t sound terrible. Especially so when it comes to larger pieces like bookshelf speakers. Following the same philosophy, their R-41M proves once again that high-quality audio doesn’t always require huge investments. Compared with R41M, you will see that Klipsch has equipped with R51M quite a significant power boost. These speakers come with a total of 340W power output.
