About this deal

Escapando del Maestro (El Adoctrinador)” is a track that exemplifies the fusion of synth-inspired sounds with . Der Sound wird mit diesen ewig gephaserten und komprimiert klingenden Gitarren allerdings nach einiger Zeit etwas eintönig. Progressive space rock might have been a bit of a hard sell in a punk-saturated 1977, but there's enough going on throughout Masters of the Universe's 40 minute run time for anyone with even a passing interest in the music of Dave Brock, Nik Turner and their bandmates to pick up this compilation. So instead of getting new tracks to add to the collection I was inundated with the same stuff I already have. The original one indicates the date 1977 in the bottom right corner, with a hieroglyph design of which I added a detail (check the images).

I'm going to be completely honest, there are a lot of progressive rock bands from the 70's I would rather listen to over Hawkwind, but every now and then I get that itch where I'm in the mood for something really progressive, weird and different. Stone Temple Pilots bass player Robert DeLeo names the songs that have most connected with fans and tells the stories behind tracks from their Tiny Music album. By the time Hawkwind went on the Space Ritual tour, Anderson had departed and Lemmy had joined the band, with his partnership with Brock giving the track a much heavier, driving sound. It was written by Nik Turner and Dave Brock and featured Turner on vocals, Brock on guitar, former Amon Düül II member Dave Anderson on bass, Del Dettmar and Dik Mik on synthesizers and Terry Ollis on drums. Though controversial, this is hardly new, indeed big names from Chuck Berry to George Harrison have been accused of ripping off, plagiarizing, stealing and failing to credit others for their contributions for all manner of reasons.

This is the first Hawkwind album that I bought - back in the days when albums were black and you had the option of playing them at the wrong speed. Sonic Attack' and 'Orgone Accumulator' are from Space Ritual - two standout tracks from Hawkwind's best album. The vinyl may have been one of the best compilations in the late 70s of the band, but the CD does not warn that it is a compilation in any way!

Vote up content that is on-topic, within the rules/guidelines, and will likely stay relevant long-term. El Secreto Del Alfajor, a musical project with a penchant for blending folk and rock influences, presents two captivating tracks from their debut album. Ethan Larsh, an artist known for his exploration of various genres and musical mediums, consistently demonstrates his ability to craft authentic and sometimes deeply personal lyrics. Few picks from their "Space Ritual" double live album, and Lemmy's proto-MOTÖRHEAD song from "The Hall of The Mountain Grill". Turn the album cover and the rest of the painting presents itself - the mountains are grander, truly enormous. The track’s simplicity and easygoing atmosphere make it an enjoyable addition to the indie music scene.

I would say that the only album that they did that was better than this was Warrior on The Edge of Time (when are they going to release an official copy of that on CD? Dead Skunk" became a stinker for Loudon when he felt pressure to make another hit - his latest songs deal with mortality, his son Rufus, and picking up poop.Any Hawkwind fan would no doubt have the aforementioned albums as they are the classics that launched this incredible band. Records that aren't in picture sleeves will either be in a company sleeve or a generic plain sleeve. Sanne Graulund’s rendition of “Dancing On My Own,” featuring Jan Harbeck, serves as the first single from her upcoming album, “Context.
