About this deal

The fact that these are some of the most heartrendingly beautiful songs they've ever recorded only adds power and pathos. Jonny Greenwood's continuing love affair with vintage electronics has resulted in some lush and lovely arrangements. Hail to the Thief is one of the highlights of the year thus far, adventerous songs that engage with a world from a controlled distance.

Hail to the Thief is a really good album, there there and Myxomatosis are some of my favorites from the album, so why not get the CD? I have been collecting these 2 CD DVDs from Pablo Honey up to Hail to the Thief and yet more beautiful music from Yorke and the gang has been produced, my only dissapointment was in the DVD which was a little lacking in body, especially when you compare it with The Bends, the bonus material almost double the content of the main disc, with tons live vids and alternate takes on the DVD, yet hail to the thief only had about 15 mins of content. Cassandra warned about Greeks bearing gifts, but her advice went unheeded and the Trojan Horse duly wrought death and destruction.Band members described the album as having a “swaggering” sound and relaxed recording process, in contrast to previous tense sessions. Hail To The Thief’ is immersed in dread and paranoia, albeit a more visceral, emboldened dread and paranoia.

Hail to the Thief is pretty much packed with forward thinking songs (though Myxomatosis sounds a bit duff- despite having lyrics found like Knives Out on the KidA-booklet)- the album rails at the 21st century waking nightmare. And in I Will, Everyman calmly turns the tables on those who'd deny him a future: "I won't let this happen to my children, meet the real world coming out of my shell . I know a few people who didn't get on with this album initially, but after hearing it on LP have got in to it and now love it! Radiohead's Hail to the Thief bridges the gulf between OK Computer 's epic progressive rock and Kid A 's skittering electronic theatrics, borrowing equally from each. It was the last album released under Radiohead’s record contract with EMI, parent company of Parlophone and Capitol.Great in this original format or as the extended ‘kid a mnesia’ which fuses this masterpiece with the even more experimental and electronic leaning Amnesia album. collectors 180 gram double vinyl edition with original packaging, free 320kbps mp3 download and exclusive new poster.
